Soulja Boy vs Ice- T: The Battle Of The Century

Ok ok,

So if you're a hip-hop fan, who's been watching YouTube recently, you most likely have heard of this before:

Ice-T, on a mixtape, recently slammed Soulja Boy and Hurricane Chris, stating that the two have "killed hip-hop", and also told Soulja Boy to "eat a dick".

Here's Ice-T's first salvo:

Now, Soulja Boy, in his infinite wisdom, responded back:

Ice-T, also responded as well:

Or course, during all this mania, Captain Ego, Kayne West, made an appearance in this debate and sided....with Soulja Boy.

Soulja boy is fresh ass hell and is actually the true meaning of what hip hop is sposed to be. He came from the hood, made his own beats, made up a new saying, new sound and a new dance with one song. He had all of America rapping this summer. If that ain't Hip Hop then what is? A bunch of wannabe keep it real rappers that ain't even relevant, recycling samples trying to act like it's 96 again and all they do is hate on new shit? Niggas always talk about the golden age but for a 13 year old kid, this is the golden age!!! That song was so dope cause everything he said had a hidden meaning... that's Nas level shit... he just put it over some steel drums which is also some Nas shit if you had the 2nd album cassette with the bonus track "Silent Murder" on it. In closing... new niggas get ya money$$$$$$$$$$ Keep this shit fresh and original.... ain't no fuckin' rules to this shit and that's what real hip hop is to me.

Now, this is Kayne we're talking about here, Mr. "George Bush Doesn't Care About Black People", Mr. "I'm the Second Coming of Jesus". So who are we to dismiss his views on this dispute?

But seriously folks, in my opinion, I think this entire issue has exposed a lot of things that we may or may not want to know:
  1. Soulja Boy = Punk B!@#&: It had to be said, that he's 17 years old, and in order to diss someone, he had to Wikipedia them....instead of being a man, hitting the studio and dropping a diss track. What type of foul s#&! is that?! Plus, he said he respected these people that paved the way...guess not.
  2. Ice-T = Lost His Cool : Now, I like Ice-T, but c'mon Ice, telling a teen to "eat a d#@!"? You've got a nice gig on Law & Order SVU, but if the corporations have to pick a side, NBC Universal (members of Vivendi Universal, who own Interscope, who own Soulja Boy) will have your character killed off next September....
  3. Kayne West = Drunk & High on His Own Ego : Listen, we all know he can make great music, but all of those album of the year nominations have completely f#%$ed his head up. Kayne, you sided with a kid who made the wackest song in 2007, the 2000's, and maybe in the entire history of hip-hop. Don't be surprised when that next album comes around, and your collab list is a bunch of mainstream artists and guys like Soulja Boy, Hurricane Chris, Lil' Mama, Shop Boyz, and God knows who else....

OK, I think I've made my point...thanks for reading.
