As time wears on, suspicion seeps slowly/Paranoid players in plays planned for pain, that’s unholy/Only God has a clue what we would do if the question arose/Who would break character, who’s striking a pose/Who’s for real in this world/That’s an absurdity, that’s getting old/Just like the reaction I get when I’m close to you (So cold)/This can’t change, but we evolve or die out/Without a shadow of doubt in the doorway/

The truth of this situation is not how I need you to exist/It’s how you don’t understand how hard it is for me to resist/Telling how I feel, how this has been so unreal/How you mean so much, yet I know I will ruin anything I touch/Proven by my past track record, the story you never heard/Because I never said a word/I can’t convince my mouth to release  verbs and nouns that have nothing behind them/Especially when the risk of failure will embed them and remind him/That this is just another moment for my life to take a turn for the worst/Losing everything isn’t as easy as you think/I’ve been sane, but close  enough to the brink/And I’d rather erase myself from the paper before I do something that will make you catch vapors/I’m hopelessly trapped in a no-win endgame/And it’s a tragic shame…
